One wish in StatSheet’s expansion

Good news for stat heads everywhere: StatSheet is getting bigger.

The ubiquitous graphs you see on various blogs during the season (like here, here and here) are products of StatSheet.com, a start-up from Robbie Allen, a former Cisco employee who’s now trying to round up some venture capital so StatSheet can go from just one person (him) to potentially eight to 10 employees.

That means the site will eventually branch into games recaps and expanding two existing formats, Embed StatSheet and STAT.US.

The bad news for statheads? Sounds like some of the new stuff will be sold on a subscription basis. Like everyone else, StatSheet is trying to turn a profit. Can’t say I blame Allen.

Here’s hoping the grafs, comparisons and other nifty features from StatSheet.com stay free, though.

Mike Miller’s also on Twitter, usually talkin’ hoops. Click here for more.
