Tre’Von Willis will miss a second game

Turns out Tre’Von Willis is going to have his suspension doubled.

Over the summer, UNLV’s star guard was arrested for allegedly choking a female acquaintance. After pleading out to a lesser charge, Willis was hit with a one game suspension by UNLV head coach Lon Kruger.

This drew the ire of the blogosphere, as you might imagine.

Maybe this latest move will appease them, because Kruger has announced that Willis will sit out a second game before being allowed to return to the team.

“Tre’Von has done well during his suspension, but has left a few details undone -- nothing major,” Kruger said in a statement. “He will sit out the Southeastern Louisiana game on Wednesday. We have closure in sight and are anxious to move on. He will play against Wisconsin.”

Willis will be back in uniform when the Rebels take on Wisconsin on Saturday.
