The health of Austin Hatch, an Indiana high school hoops star who committed to Michigan, continues to improve after surviving a plane crash that killed his father and stepmother last month.
He’s taking part in physical, occupational and speech therapies in the hopes of making a full recovery from the brain injuries, punctured lung and broken bones suffered in the crash. Hatch’s family updated his status Sunday on a post from a website dedicated to updates on his care:
Austin James is handsome as always, and still looks like a fit teenage athlete. Austin’s treatment program is going very well, including Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies. (He also enjoys a lot of extra massages and PT exercises with help from the family!)
Hatch will be a junior in the fall.
