Flavor Flav’s a UNLV fan? That’s a no-brainer

There’s one way to properly describe Flavor Flav cheering from UNLV’s student section. And it’s by clicking this link.

The former Public Enemy rapper and reality TV star could be seen during the Rebels’ win Saturday against San Diego State, wearing a red t-shirt among “The Rebellion” section, along with his usual shades, oversized clock necklace and cap.

I’m guessing Flav was right at home in jubilant crowd, much the same way Ashley Judd seamlessly blends into the crowd of devoted Kentucky fans during Wildcats home games. Who doesn’t love cheering on their team? The mere thought of Flav in a jubilant crowd yelling and cheering delights me to no end. And at UNLV? That’s fabulous.

Flav’s apparently been a UNLV fan for some time (he would’ve been the perfect fan during the Larry Johnson-Stacy Augmon days). He lives in Las Vegas and has become a vocal supporter ever since the school invited him to a game. There’s even an amusing video of him running – well, jogging – suicide drills on the basketball court.

I wonder if Chuck D – who’s married to a Santa Barbara professor – was watching when UNLV played Santa Barbara back in November? If so, organizers missed out on what would’ve been a legendary halftime show.
