Over the next 13 days, the brackets will start to take shape. Teams with no at-large aspirations will make one final push at the post-season. Teams on the bubble will look to assert themselves as worthy members of “The Big Dance”, and contenders will start priming their engines for a national Championship run. While “March Madness” officially begins following Selection Sunday, the real madness starts now.

Until Sunday, March 11, this will be your home for Championship Week recaps and previews. The players and teams are starting to prepare for March Madness, so you should too.

Game of the Night: Weber State vs. Montana
More than 16 NBA scouts are expected to be on hand for the rubber match between Weber State and Montana. Why are moe than 16 NBA scouts going to the Big Sky Championship game, you ask? Damian Lillard. The Weber State guard is the nation’s leading scorer and is likely to be named to one of the All-American teams. But the last time Weber State played Montana, the regular season championship and home court advantage in the tournament was on the line, and the Wildcats fell 15 points short. Lillard will have to have a strong showing if Weber State is to knock of the Grizzlies on their home court. If you are still awake at 11:00PM EST, this game is much-watch.

Player to Watch: Will Mosley, Northwestern State
Everybody in the world should be rooting for senior center. Over the weekend, Mosley’s twin infant sons died from respiratory issues in a shocking and saddening turn of events. Sports are often used to provide a break from reality, but they can also serve to bring communities together for a greater cause. Win or lose, everybody across the country will be supporting Will and his family.

Miscellaneous Madness: A handful of teams will see their NCAA tournament hopes come to a screeching halt tonight, as first and second round action tips off in the Big East, C-USA and Pac-12 tournaments. Teams like South Florida, West Virginia, Seton Hall, Southern Mississippi, UCLA and Colorado must win in order to keep their hopes alive. It should make for an interesting day of college basketball.
