People seem to forget, or don’t even know why people are upset with Laettner. It wasn’t so much the shot, but what happened before that in the half. Laettner knowingly stomped on the chest of Aminu Timberlake and was only given a technical instead of being ejected from the game. He later admitted in an interview that he did infact do it on purpose as revenge for a foul on him earlier in the game. Laettner is a scummy player and he should have never been in the game at that time to hit that shot.

It seems you would like to put all Kentucky fans in the same basket. Not all of us are so sensitive that we can’t appreciate a great moment in sport even if it is one where it didn’t go in our favor. My blood is as KY blue as any you’ll find, but I applaud UPS for the brilliant marketing strategy built into this ad. It is a great analogy to show the value of services they provide. And I hope your article will stick in my mind so I don’t fall into the trap of stereotyping all fans of a particular school or university in the way you’ve attempted to do here.

Look at it as a learning experience, Kentucky fans. Coach Cal won’t forget to cover the inbounds guy like what happened on the Laettner shot.

And, heavens, how I hope that Ernie Harris was tongue-in-cheek talking about pulling the ad. If he was serious I’m not sure I could sleep tonight knowing somebody that unhinged was responsible for flying a jet and serving as a senator.

The average SAT score to get into U. of KY. is -43. For members of the basketball team it’s even worse -61.33. The students and their fans are a bunch of imbred morons. I know, I used to live in KY and have a brother and his wife who both graduated from there.

BTW—UPS’ hub is in Louisville.

Hey Kentucky fans don’t be so high and mighty, remember u have coach Cal as your head coach. It doesn’t effect this years team and is one of the greatest play in NCAA tournament history. Should University of Houston be mad every time they show Lorenzo Charles dunk on them.
