Adonis Thomas will be back at Memphis for his sophomore season, according to CBSSports.com.

The 6-foot-6 wing had a chance to sneak into the first round of the draft, but thanks to an inconsistent start to the year and an ankle injury that hampered him late, Thomas would have been taking a risk had he foregone the remainder of his collegiate eligibility.

With Thomas back in the fold, Memphis once against looks like they will be the heavy favorite in Conference USA and a top ten team in the preseason. Joe Jackson and Chris Crawford are both back for their junior seasons, while Tarik Black, Ferrakhon Hall and all-american freshman Shaq Goodwin will bolster the front line.

The official announcement will come later this afternoon.
