Larry Brown may have lost Josiah Turner yesterday, and while the signing of Jordan Dickerson certainly won’t replace that kind of talent, the seven-foot NYC native is a quality addition this late in the summer.

“He’s the kind of guy that can help clog the middle,” Lincoln coach Tiny Morton said to SNY.tv about the IMG Academy product. “He can definitely rebound, definitely block some shots at this stage of his game. Within a couple months or half a year with the staff down there, he should be able to score also.”

Dickerson picked SMU over the likes of Providence, Auburn, South Carolina and Iowa State.

He’s the fourth member of Brown’s first recruiting class, joining joining center Blaise Mbargorba, shooting guard Brian Bernardi and small forward Uche Ofoegbu.
