Let’s get a couple of things straight. UNC is not in Duke’s class academically. I feel a bit sorry for peppers’ embarrassment at having such a poor excuse for a transcript made public but the only difference between his and hundreds of other UNC transcripts is his is public. Not sure why you think if UK is viewed as dumb that it’s unfair. Not saying that all students are dumb there but it is viewed that way by the general public precisely because of the way your coach recruits only one-and-doners with suspect academic credentials. You guys value winning at all costs and then complain when you earn the reputation that goes along with it. Now some might say that is either whiny or dumb…err,um, never mind…

It will be interesting to see how this story is handled. I do think there is definitely a double standard in the media with a school like UNC, or Duke, compared to UK. UK doesnt have the academic prestige of either of these schools, but with UNC especially, it’s clear that they don’t pride their athletes on academic excellence. And that’s ok, it’s their prerogative, but I think UK gets the unfair stigma of being a dumb school, so they don’t get the pass that schools like UNC and duke get, just because of a misconception.

I have never said my school played it by the rules. All I have stated was that Uk is not perfect like you make it out to be..
