- Texas Tech should fire Billy Gillispie, hospitalized or not. The school’s athletic director is very concerned about the way BCG has been treating the players. Gillispie has been reprimanded, but really needs to be given the boot. In fact, I’d be OK with a permanent ban from all levels of coaching. To make matters worse, top-100 recruit Aaron Ross tore his ACL. In case you were unaware, BCG has run off 15 players from the Red Raiders program in just two short years

- Ed Cooley has done a great job recruiting high-level talent into Providence. The only problem is that not many of his highly touted recruits have been ruled eligible to participate by the NCAA. Last year it was Kiwi Gardner, and this year it’s Ricardo Ledo, who was granted a partial qualifier by the NCAA. For you simple folk, Ledo will be able to practice with the team, but cannot participate in games this season

- Man, Rick Ray has had a difficult first few months on the job at Mississippi State. The latest hit to his squad came this week when both Shaun Smith and Kristers Zeidaks were dismissed from the program
