Almost counterintuitively, Kovacevic will be tougher to swallow… Losing Cherry obviously hurts (he is the best player in the conference), but they have solid depth there and he will be back for the conference season (at least, he should be).

But their frontcourt depth was thin even before losing Kovacevic… now, it’s very thin and they don’t really have any guys that can score in the post. Their best frontcourt guy, Mathias Ward, is almost strictly a shooter.

They should still be pesky though, because Kareem Jamar and Wayne Tinkle are that good. Jamar is their best passer even when Cherry is out there… the biggest hope though is that Cherry makes a full recovery, and is not limited at all when he gets back.
