Ryan Harrow may not travel with Kentucky to the Champions Classic

Nov 12, 2012, 11:42 AM EST

Ryan Harrow is sick. He’s been battling the flu. That’s why he managed just ten minutes on Friday night at the Barclays Center. Kentucky head coach John Calipari went as far as to say that Harrow should not have played on Friday.

And if he doesn’t get better quickly, he won’t be playing tomorrow night against Duke, either:

If Harrow is held out, than junior Jarrod Polson will like get the start and see the majority of the minutes at the point guard spot.

Usually, this would be a concern for Kentucky fans, but after the way that Polson played on Friday night, that may no longer be a concern. Polson is not an answer for Kentucky, however; he’s a piece that can be plugged in as a stopgap, and he will have to thrive in that role on Tuesday night once again. Because even if Harrow makes the trip and plays, he won’t be at 100% coming off of the flu.
