"“If you ask someone at West Virginia if they like going to Texas Tech or Texas and all those places, ask their fans whether they really like that."

Mr. Boeheim?

Have you done a poll, asking your school's fan if they like travelling to Miami, Tallahassee or Boston? If not, why not? If you did, what was their response? And did they want to go to Milwaukee or Louisville more than Tallahassee or Boston or Blacksburg?

And his point is what? Unless he can come up with a better way for schools to make ends meet and get out of the deficits they're in, all these coaches, all these media members, all these talking heads can just shut up unless they have the answer. Many schools, including his own, are moving to what gives them the best advantage to stay afloat and ward off the instability of the future. These moves are at least making the schools a bit more guaranteed of a future where they know what kind of money will be coming in since right now they don't. Unless he has a better idea it will continue to happen and he has no further to look than in his own mirror. Deal with it, life in the 21st century.
