Apples and oranges, clearly. Louisville kicked the living crap out of Mizzou, having Dixon and his 15 wouldn't have made any difference. Hell, having Derrick Chievous come out of the old folks home wouldn't have made a difference. Louisville was ahead with a couple of minutes left in the Duke game. If Dieng plays, game over...it's never close to begin with.

^That's a pretty strong statement, capitalized every time. Louisville is good, but so is Duke. That's kind of like me saying Mizzou, beats them EVERY TIME if Michael Dixon is playing. He'd be a better match up on Smith and is probably a 15 points a game scorer....

With Duke, I think the question, is this going to be a team that keeps getting better as the season progresses? Even with as good as they're playing now. I think Coach K has the right starting lineup, and as Rob says, they've gotten roles figured out pretty good, with good Senior leadership. I think the two biggest weaknesses is lack of depth height wise, with only Kelly and Mason Plumlee as tall guys and lack of a true small forward, that can be a dynamic scorer and most importantly matchup and help shut down other teams athletic mid size guys. If Amile Jefferson can step up his game and fill this role, this could be a "great" team come March...

Really? I disagree...the rankings will doubtlessly reflect an injury through the results, albeit not midweek.

And by the way, ugh, with Dieng on the floor Duke loses that game EVERY TIME. They should have lost as it is, with sorry replacements Van Treese and Price nearly getting the job done.

Ugh... this whole caveating a Duke win is getting a tad old. The AP apparently doesn't see a need to look at UK's youth to rank them, nor do they alter their rankings mid-weekend to reflect an injury.
