tomtravis you're comment about Shaka and VCU already proves that you're an idiot. If you had any knowledge you would know that Shaka has already passed up opportunities at NC state, Illinois, Maryland, and many other so called BCS programs to stay at VCU. Also, you would know that IF he left we would be fine seeing that VCU has been the most successful basketball program in Virginia for the last ten years. So before you shoot off with another ignorant statement, check your facts buster.

Drop the Catholic 7 name, its awful.

Once Shaka leaves VCU they will fall off the basketball map, the A-10 can keep them afloat. And also don't raid the A-10 too much, they have a nice basketball conference that has some solid talent and good games. Gonzaga seems like a trendy pick but unless its only for basketball it just doesn't seem like it would work finacially or with student athletes travel schedule.

The schools leaving are doing what is right for their programs, their schools were losing talent because the new Big East conference schedule was going to be weak. St. Johns v Tulane matchup, how about Seton Hall v Houston, Nova v Boise, etc. They sound like machups you would only want to see in March, not conference schedule.

Hopefully NBC jumps all over this new basketball conference and brings back Big Mondays on their expanded sports TV programming.
