The $50K hurts a lot worse than the suspension. How ironic: he’ll be back for the Big East opener at Syracuse. Imagine that. No offense, but Rutgers is a stepping stone, not a destination. This hurts Rice’s resume more than anything else. If he succeeds at Rutgers, a better opportunity might view this “indiscretion” as a negative.
