I'm not a Syracuse fan, but I say congratulations to Boeheim just the same. Pretty remarkable in today's "me first" world to remain dedicated to one school for FIFTY YEARS. I hope he stays as long as he wants to coach. He's earned that right.

One correction though: he's 36 wins behind Coach K, not 27. Coach K's record is 936-291, with 4 NCAA championships. Both though are obviously among the elite in the game, and deserve to be recognized as such. Doubtful Boeheim will ever catch Coach K in wins if for no other reason he's 68 while Coach K is 65. Theoretically Coach K can coach 3 years longer if he chooses. Not that it matters. Boeheim's legacy will never be matched because all his wins came at ONE school. No one will ever do that at this level ever again.

Alcorn is a bad one, but I wouldn't sleep on CCSU. They have one of the nation's leading scoreres in Kyle Vinales. He gives high-major teams 25-30. Even if it's a 20-point win, at least you'll get an exciting opposition to watch.

I grew up about an hour outside of Cuse and love the orange and Jimmy B but our non-conference schedule has to be the worst of all-time.

Upcoming games against Alcorn st. and Central Connecticut st. These are actual colleges?
