I hate to break it to you, but Indiana University’s nickname is “Hoosiers”. Indiana State University’s nickname is “Sycamores”. Kind of like saying that the University of Georgia ‘Panthers’ are the exact same as Georgia State University; or the University of Alabama ‘Hornets’ are the exact same as Alabama State University; or the University of Arizona ‘Sun Devils’ is the exact same as Arizona State University.

The IU Hoosiers play in the Big Ten conference, while the ISU Sycamores play in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Larry Bird enrolled at IU, then left in less than six weeks. He then enrolled at ISU, and led them to the National Championship game in 1979.

Maybe you should pay the fact checker a bit more? Maybe then he or she will not allow such blatent inaccuracies to ‘slip through’? And at the same time, maybe the readers of your posts might have a bit more faith that you are giving them correct and up to date information?
