Mizzou didn't lose to Louisville because they were unable to guard smaller 1's and 2's. they lost because they turned the ball over 20+ times and didn't force Louisville to play any actual offense, just too many fast break and transition opportunities. Dixon's departure hurts far more on the offensive end than on defense. Nobody on the current roster has proven able to make 3 point shots on a consistent basis, which allows defenses to sag back into the paint. Mizzou's defense will continue to be spotty because they lack shot-blocking ability without fouling.

I think as of late they are missing the energy and valuable do everything minutes of Tony Criswell of the bench.

The biggest hurdle I see, with the loss of Mike Dixon, is lack of a back up point guard. It hurts defensive wise, unless Bell can step in, in that we have no one to guard smaller point guards. Or smaller two guards, look what Louisville did.
And from a standpoint of it llooks like Haith, is gonna ride Preseey hard 35 plus every game. He's going to get in foul trouble at some point and come March he's gonna be wore down. Hopefully he gives Chan and Bell, more time in handling the ball

I guess Mizzou fans will have to resort to trolling each other on the SEC basketball boards....maybe if we change the name of the sport to 'indoor helmet-free football' it will attract more visitors from SEC country.
