Back in 1975 when I did this dunk during an all star game it was called back because at the time contact had to be made with the rim as you mentioned. I believe the new ruling cites backboard contact as constituting a shot attempt and subsequent rebound, grounds for allowing this play. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but isn’t that dunk a self pass due to no contact with the rim? Was is sick? Yes! Should it of been called back…I think so . If I’m wrong please let me know. I always wondered since seeing a “Dinner Served” in NBA Street.

Were that hockey, homeboy wouldn’t even make it to half-court before 10 fists would rain down on his head. Not only that, but every arena he went to, atleast one dude from every team would take their own shot at brotherman. In NHL, blatan disregard for the game would not be tolerated and consequences would be doled out by the players. Watched it live. Jumped out the couch, screamed, dogs barked and full bottle of red stripe landed on the mac keyboard. Bottle and it’s contents were a total loss. Apple store here I come. Vince Carter jump dunked over the French 7 footer. Dr. J, ABA, red white and blue ball flying dunk from the foul line. Franklin is no. 3.
