Arizona and ASU have only been in the PAC-12 for 35 years so it’s understandable a sport writer still can’t get their names straight. Just so you’ll know, Arizona has a mascot named Wilbur Wildcat and his main squeeze Wilma Wildcat. ASU has a mascot named Scumdevil. You’d think teams in a conference that has the Rose Bowl might be more well known, especially since Arizona is undefeated in the Rose Bowl.

Of course they’ve never been to the Rose Bowl in those 35 years which says a lot about the consistency of their football program losing key games. Maybe Rich Rodriguez can change that but he’s going up against a long rich tradition of losing.
