Nice to see UCLA beat #11 Arizona and still be in contention for the Pac-12 title this late in the season. A big improvement over past years. Hopefully they can do some damage during March Madness.

Go Bruins!!!

It was actually closer than the final score would indicate. Like, three points in the final minute with Arizona in possession. UCLA outplayed the Wildcats most of the game and were out in front by as much as 15, but Drew made two of his three total turnovers in the last two minutes and the 'Cats drained consecutive three-pointers to make it close. Too close.

The Bruins have weak spots, but the most glaring might be rebounding. In particular they give up way too many offensive rebounds and second-chance shots. If they had really "cleaned the glass" they would have won going away. The defense is (slowly) coming around and is definitely improved from early in the season, but they have no real inside presence.

Other than Muhammad, and occasionally Adams, getting lobs for dunks they mostly rely on Drew driving and kicking to the Wears or perhaps Anderson getting mid-range jumpers. They can't/don't/won't pound it inside and teams without that ability often don't go far in the tournament.
