Good luck to Liberty. They’ll definitely be in the play-in game (it’s still the play-in game, not the first round). I was rooting for them to lose, but they played better basketball than their opposition in the conference tournament.

#juliath83, you’re an idiot. Probably a Democrat that wants everything handed to him via the entitlement route. Liberty EARNED their way into the tournament by beating 3 of the 4 top seeded teams in the conference AND the host team on their own floor. If they don’t deserve to be in, who does? This is exactly what makes tournament basketball so good. Too bad you can’t see the good in it.

Liberty beat BOTH #1 seeds, one #2 seed, and the host team. They had the hardest championship schedule of anyone and they won it. The team turned it up at the end of the season and earned their spot in the play-in round.

Get rid of conference tournaments. There’s no way Liberty deserves to be in the big dance. But…they make too much money. I thought this was amateur basketball? Isn’t that what the NCAA preaches? Shove it, NCAA. I hope you let Charleston Southern in and keep Liberty out anyway.
