You explained in your second paragraph exactly why Gonzaga does deserve a #1 seed. Had the proper call of a foul for the shove on Olynyk been called, whether the shot was made in time or not wouldn’t matter.
After all these years of success, it’s still frustrating to see the Zags not get the respect they earn.

If Gonzaga is a #1 seed now, I don’t see 4 teams taking that away from them in a week. There are too many teams looking to cannibalize each other in the conference tournaments. Look at the AP Top 10….

ACC: Duke, Miami
Big 10: Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State
Big 12: Kansas
Big East: Louisville, Georgetown

I get that Gonzaga has a weaker schedule resume, but at least 5 of the top 10 teams will be taking another loss this week. If Gonzaga is a 1 right now, the will be a 1 this Sunday.
