Losing to a potential No. 1 seed isn’t a reason to drop the Gaels.------no but losing to a "potential" #1 seed three times is.

The third loss to Gonzaga leaves Saint Mary’s profile a bit light on high quality wins---you are kidding, right? Light on quality wins? How about one if you count Creighton. Throw in losses to Pacific, Northern Iowa and ACC bottom dwelling Georgia Tech and playing in a conference where FIVE teams have RPIs of 150 or worse and there is NO reason St Mary's should even be in the discussion.

As for Gonzaga. A number one seed? Hardly. Their resume is only slightly better than St Mary's. 1 - 2 against top 25 teams. Playing in a mediocore conference at best. Yes those wins against teams like Lewis and Clark St., San Francisco, Portland, Sand Deigo, etc really were awesome.
