The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that they’ve hired Dr. Robert “Jake” Bell as the new coordinator of officials for men’s basketball.

Bell, who previously worked in the same capacity in the Atlantic Sun Conference, replaces Gerald Boudreaux, whose contract was not renewed.

“We are pleased to have someone of Jake’s experience and background to lead the SEC’s men’s basketball officiating program.” Slive said in a release. “His experience as an official and a coordinator will help guide an already solid officiating program. His appointment has the unanimous support of the conference’s 14 athletic directors and 14 head men’s basketball coaches.”
