The tumultuous summer of North Carolina junior P.J. Hairston finally appears to be slowing down and coming to a close as the cases against his passengers are now heading towards a resolution.

Although charges were dropped against Hairston for a June 5th traffic stop in which he was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession and driving without a license, the passengers in his vehicle on that night -- Miykael Faulcon and Carlos Sanford -- heard more about their fates during a Tuesday hearing at Durham County court.

Faulcon received six months of unsupervised probation and Sanford had his hearing continued to October 29th as they -- along with Hairston -- were pulled over on June 5th during a traffic stop in a 2013 GMC Yukon that was rented under the name of convicted felon Haydn Patrick “Fats” Thomas.

According to the report from the Associated Press, Judge James T. Hill also said that if Faulcon performs 10 hours of community service and completes a drug assessment program, the charge will be dropped.

Hairston has been suspended indefinitely by the Tar Heels for his multiple traffic citations this summer. The junior averaged 15 points per game last season for North Carolina and returned to school instead of entering the NBA Draft.
