Ohio State has a locker for LeBron James in their locker room (PHOTO)

Ohio State unveiled their new basketball facilities today, and perhaps the biggest surprise for media folks present was a locker in the locker room dedicated to the world’s best basketball player.

No, LeBron James hasn’t found a way around every rule in the NCAA rulebook and decided to suit up for the Buckeyes. It’s a recruiting tool.

James is an Ohio native and it’s not a secret that he grew up an OSU fan.

And Ohio State wears LeBron’s Nike gear, including these shoes. That locker is used to show off the gear to recruits when they come to campus. Who are we to argue? Head coach Thad Matta and company have consistently been among the nation’s best recruiters ever since they landed a class that included Greg Oden, Mike Conley and Daequan Cook.

Yeah, use the guy who happily skipped college to recruit players to your college. Makes sense to me.

Why not go ahead and claim Kobe Bryant too.

The arrogance at Ohio State is astounding.

I agree wholeheartedly Bo. Serious arrogance.

You’d think the NCAA would be all over something like this. I don’t really think it’s a big deal, but this is usually the thing the NCAA drools over.

    Vincentbojackson you are a tool.

    Please go cut yourself!

    • stlouis1baseball - Sep 3, 2013 at 5:47 PM

Really? You call him a tool. Yet…your handle is “barkleyblows.”
Then you somehow trump this with “please go cut yourself.”

If he is a tool you are a piece of shit.

Yeah!! Such arrogance!! That damn Lebron James. How dare he!!

Umm. it takes two. I don’t think one player can have that much clout.
