GAME OF THE DAY: No. 13 Oregon vs. Ole Miss, 5 p.m. (ESPNU)

Marshall Henderson and the Rebels welcome the No. 13 Ducks into Oxford for an evening showdown between SEC and Pac-12 programs. Ole Miss won a pair of games in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center Classic to end November, but on Thursday suffered its first loss of the season when Henderson’s 3-point try came up short against Kansas State. Oregon enters unbeaten despite missing starting guard Dominic Artis and sophomore forward Ben Carter (suspension).

The guard play should be fun to watch with Henderson coming off the bench, and Oregon’s Joseph Young pouring in 20.3 points a game.

(Note: This is also going as my Who’s Getting Upset? pick)

THE OTHER GAME OF THE DAY: Washington vs. No. 24 San Diego State, 3:05 p.m. (CBSSN)

The Huskies enter the game averaging 84.1 points per game. The Aztecs cracked into the top 25 behind a strong defensive effort in the Wooden Legacy with consecutive wins over Creighton and Marquette, both ranked at the time. San Diego State is going against its second Pac-12 program, losing to soon-to-be top-ranked Arizona on Nov. 14 while Washington has suffered losses to Boston College, Indiana and Big West favorite UC-Irvine.

MID-MAJOR GAME OF THE DAY: Quinnipiac vs. Rider, 2 p.m.

The MAAC had five teams win 11 conference games last season, making for an exciting MAAC tournament. Manhattan and Canisius enter the year as the MAAC favorites, but Quinnipiac and Rider should not be overlooked.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

1) Auburn and Illinois meet in Atlanta for a non-conference showdown. The Tigers are coming off a 19-point loss to No. 17 Iowa State and the Fighting Illini look to bounce back for their first loss of the season after blowing a late-game lead to Georgia Tech as part of this week’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

2) George Washington is looking to go for its third win this month and improve to 8-1 in a matchup with Maryland. The Terrapins are coming off a loss to Ohio State, a week after winning the Paradise Jam.

3) Doug McDermott is in action as Creighton hosts Nebraska. The Bluejays and Cornhuskers both hold 6-2 records.

4) Neither projected to finish high in the conference standings, but Virginia Tech and Miami kick off ACC play.

5) The MAAC season is already underway. Besides Quinnipiac and Rider, the MAAC features four more conference matchups on Sunday:
