Was Rodney Hood fouled? You make the call (VIDEO)

Feb 1, 2014, 9:54 PM EDT

No. 2 Syracuse outlasted No. 17 Duke in overtime in what will go down as one of the best games we get a chance to see this season.

Duke fans may not agree, however, as the Blue Devils found themselves on the wrong end of a couple of close calls. The most notable was Rodney Hood’s missed dunk with 12 seconds left in overtime.

    Questionable…. Parker’s 5th foul was terrible

    • hmarteen - Feb 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM

If the foul on Parker was a foul then this was a FOUL def!!!!

This was a missed call as he got Hood’s arm with his arm. Does that lead Duke to a victory, who knows. The offensive foul on Parker was legit, although Christmas put in a little acting job.

The missed call on hood clearly was a game changer. Hood goes to line to shoot two and duke should win game with one stop and two seconds on clock. What a terrible missed call.

Definitely fouled but getting some ball makes it tough to call in real time.

Its definitely a foul. He gets him with the body and he’s coming down on the block attempt, not staying straight up.

Man, what a game that was. Got to love College Hoops

    ‘Twas definitely a foul.

Use two hands, son. Even in slo-mo I can’t tell if it’s a foul. Just use two hands and force the issue.

Maybe was, had it been called a foul we would have had no problem.

Pure garbage. Obvious foul, with a zebra six feet away playing with himself.

Me thinks Rob Dauster is a Duke fan. Great game.. Both teams played great . Better team won. Lots of no calls on both sides. Rematch should be great in Cameron.

If that happenss in Durham….yes. But, everyone can see he got ball before the arm–which is no different than getting ball before the body. Good no call in a game that the officials made some obvious bad call anticipating contact.
A two handed dunk attempt would have forced the call…

Ball before arm….sorry man but that is not the rule. You tip a three point attempt and then run over shooter…..it is a foul. You touch a ball attempting to block a dunk and then whack his elbow…it is a foul…clearly. Arm on arm in the shooting motion is always a foul.

Hood made the hit on the arm. No foul.
