West Virginia’s Eron Harris tossed for dumb flagrant 2 (VIDEO)

Feb 10, 2014, 10:18 PM EDT

An ugly sequence capped off West Virginia’s blowout win over No. 11 Iowa State.

Going for a loose ball, Dustin Hogue of Iowa State kicks Kevin Noreen in the stomach. The ball ends up in the hands of Monte Morris, who is essentially punched in the face by Eron Harris as he goes up for a layup.

I cannot imagine a dumber play that Harris will ever make in his life. This game was over, and he decided to get retribution by going and doing something that could, potentially, get him suspended?

Harris was given a flagrant 2 and ejected. Hogue received a flagrant 1.

He got caught up in the rough play that began late with isu frustration. Huggins shouldn’t start him next game.

That looked like an intentional knockout suckerpunch, he should be banned.

He had no intention of going for the ball, trying to block the shot or even defend the basket, he jumped up there with nothing but the intention to throw that punch..

in baseball gettin your teammates back normally ends with a 90+ mph fastball to the back maybe head. He was wrong but he also being a good teammate.

So being a good teammate involves NOT participating in the next four games? Because that should be the length of his suspension. That was not a basketball play. At no point did he ever go for the block or a strip of the ball. All I saw was his hands going towards the ISU players head. To be a good team mate, you need to ON THE TEAM.
