Florida entered as the top overall seed in the 2014 NCAA Tournament after a a 32-2 regular season, riding a 26-game winning streak. Despite having the nation’s best team, the SEC only received three bids as Kentucky and Tennessee rounded out the conference’s presence in the NCAA tournament.

The Volunteers were handed one of the last spots in the field, having to play Iowa in the First Four in Dayton on Wednesday night.

After only receiving half as many bids as the ACC, Atlantic 10 and Big Ten, the SEC is the only major conference to have an unblemished record entering the Round of 32.

Tennessee knocked off Iowa in overtime to advance to the Round of 64, where the Vols rolled past No. 6 seed UMass in the Midwest Region. With Mercer’s upset win over No. 3 seed Duke, Tennessee could be eyeing a spot in the Sweet 16.

Kentucky topped Kansas State in the same region on Friday night. The Wildcats, whose fans printed 40-0 T-shirts before the season even began, will take on the only team in the field with a shot of finishing the year 40-0 in Wichita State.

Florida kicks off the Round of 32 Saturday afternoon against a Pitt team that is playing very well as of late.
