Top-ten Class of 2015 big man sets three official visits

Cheick Diallo

One of the most coveted prospects in the country is Class of 2015 big man and New York native Cheick Diallo. The 6-foot-9 rim protector is a five-star prospect and the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2015 class, according to Rivals.

Diallo has already taken official visits to Pitt and Kentucky, but he’s scheduled three more visits, according to Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv.

Kansas will host Diallo on September 19th, Iowa State will have him on September 26th and St. John’s will close out the official visits by hosting Cheick on October 18th.

In-home visits have also been apart of Diallo’s recruitment as Pitt, Iowa State and Kansas all visited with him this past week, according to Zagoria.

Kentucky head coach John Calipari is also scheduled to meet with Diallo on September 18th, the day before he takes a trip to Kansas.

In 22 EYBL games this past spring and summer, Diallo averaged 16.4 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 60 percent from the field.

As a big man who can protect the rim and rebound with the best of them, Diallo is a top-ten prospect because he has a high-running motor and rarely slows down with his activity. Will he stay local and give St. John’s a chance or will Diallo opt for a national program?
