With four members of their anticipated rotation for the 2014-15 season, including guard Riley Grabau and forward Larry Nance Jr., being seniors the 2015 recruiting class is an important one for Wyoming head coach Larry Shyatt. Shyatt, who led the Cowboys to their third consecutive CBI appearance despite losing Nance to a torn ACL late last season, has enjoyed success recruiting the State of Florida of late.

Sunday evening Wyoming landed its fifth 2015 commitment in the form of Oldsmar Christian HS guard/forward Justin James. James, who attended St. Lucie West Centennial HS in Port St. Lucie last year, revealed the news via his Twitter account, and he’s the third Floridian to join Wyoming’s 2015 recruiting class.

James took two official visits before making the decision to commit to Wyoming, with Mississippi State also hosting him last month. As a junior, James averaged 21.1 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. James’ length and ability to play both wing spots can help Wyoming, and given the players they’ll lose at the end of the 2014-15 season that’s important.

Among the players James will join at Oldsmar Christian this season is power forward Andrew Moemeka, who verbally committed to Wyoming in early August.

Also in Wyoming’s 2015 recruiting haul at present time are point guard Austin Conway, small forward Eric Turner and power forward Jordan Naughton. Turner, who attends The Villages HS in The Villages, Florida, verbally committed to Wyoming on Wednesday.
