For the second time in the span of a month, Oregon is looking at having a member of their 2014 recruiting class denied admission into the university.

JaQuan Lyle, a five-star guard from Indiana, was removed from the Oregon roster late on Tuesday night. This is not a total shock, as there have been concerns about whether or not Lyle would suit up for the Ducks this season. Ray Kasongo, a three-star big man from Canada, was denied admission earlier this summer.

According to Jeff Rabjohns, who covers recruiting in Indiana, where Lyle is from, the Ducks have not yet made a final decision on whether or not Lyle will be admitted into the school, while ZagsBlog.com is painting a bleaker picture.

“Something in the admission process is where the hangup is,” a source told the website. “I wouldn’t expect him to be part of the team, at least for now.”

After news spread on Tuesday night, Lyle tweeted, “I’m good, y’all! I promise, just wait!!”

Losing Lyle would be a massive blow to an Oregon team that is already going to struggle to compete for an NCAA tournament berth this season. Joseph Young, who could end up being a first-team all-Pac 12 player, is back, as is big man Elgin Cook. But the rest of their roster -- which only includes seven more scholarship players -- is made up of newcomers or guys that didn’t play much last season.
