Martez Walker was arrested for criminal trespassing on Tuesday, the second time in the span of five days that he has been arrested. The Austin American-Statesmen was the first to report the news.

Walker was suspended from the Texas basketball team by Rick Barnes on Friday after he turned himself in for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. According to a report, Walker got upset when his girlfriend went to happy hour with another man. A verbal altercation turned physical, and the victim told police that Walker punched her -- hard -- four times in the left side of her body.

As a result of that arrest, Walker had been banned from campus housing. He was spotted entering his San Jacinto dorm and arrested for trespassing.

“We are aware of the situation with Martez and he is cooperating with campus police officials,” Texas head coach Rick Barnes said in a statement following his first arrest. “We have consistently stressed to all of our student-athletes for a long time that any behavior in which women are not treated with respect will not be tolerated. Pending resolution, Martez has been suspended indefinitely from our basketball program and will not participate in any team functions.”

Walker, a 6-foot-4 guard from Detroit, averaged 4.7 points as a freshman.
