After winning 30 games and making their first Final Four appearance in 14 years, the Wisconsin Badgers are expected to make a run at a national title in 2014-15. Bo Ryan’s team, led by a returning core that lost just one contributor (guard Ben Brust) at the end of last season, has been pegged by many as the favorites to win the Big Ten and one of the teams capable of not just getting to Indianapolis but also being the final team standing on April 6.

With that in mind there’s a great amount of excitement surrounding Sam Dekker, Frank Kaminsky and the rest of the Badgers, which will lead to a scarcity of available tickets for those who don’t secure theirs early. Wednesday morning the school placed its student section (“The Grateful Red”) tickets on sale, and within five minutes they were all gone.

The only tickets that remain are those for winter break home games, as is the case at a number of high-profile programs looking to fill the arena while the students are off campus.

However, a number of winter-break, four-game packages are still available for purchase for $40. This package includes the following games over UW’s winter break: Dec. 28 vs. Buffalo, Dec. 31 vs. Penn State, Jan. 7 vs. Purdue and Jan. 15 vs. Nebraska. This package is available until September 25.

Additionally, a UW student sale of single game tickets for the four games over winter break will start on September 29. Tickets are $11 each and students may purchase up to two tickets for each game.

According to the school release this is the tenth time in the last 13 seasons that Wisconsin, which has never finished worse than fourth in the Big Ten during Ryan’s tenure, has sold out its student section for the entire season.
