Washington State landed a 2015 commitment on Sunday afternoon as 6-foot-8 wing Derrien King pledged to the Cougars and head coach Ernie Kent.

King’s commitment was confirmed on Twitter by the Compton Magic, his former grassroots team.

Now at Santa Monica College, Middlebrooks finished up at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles in 2014. King had official visits also scheduled to Nevada and UTEP but opted to close out his recruitment during his Washington State official visit this weekend.

Washington State also has a commitment in the 2015 class from 6-foot-8 forward Jeff Pollard.
