After taking his official visit to Nebraska this weekend, 6-foot-7 forward Ed Morrow has decided that Lincoln is where he’ll play his college basketball. Morrow, whose parents attended Nebraska, becomes the third player in the Class of 2015 to commit to Tim Miles’ program, joining point guard Glynn Watson and power forward Michael Jacobson.

News of Morrow’s commitment was first reported by John Stovall of ESPN.com.

Morrow is a senior at Simeon Career Academy in Chicago and during the summer played for the Mac Irvin Fire program, averaging 12.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest in Nike EYBL competition. Nebraska was the only school to host Morrow on an official visit, with Iowa and Minnesota among the other programs to have offered him a scholarship.

The addition of Morrow is an important one for Nebraska, with David Rivers entering his senior season and junior Terran Petteway coming off of a season in which he earned first team All-Big Ten honors. Morrow gives Nebraska a player with the athleticism needed to help out at either forward position, although he’s seen more time at the four at the high school level.
