Washington State lands commitment from in-state center

ernie kent

Robert Franks announced late on Monday night that he had committed to play his college basketball at Washington State.

“Humbled and Blessed to finally say that I am Committing to play basketball at [Washington State University],” Franks posted on his twitter account.

It will be interesting to see what kind of player Franks develops into. He’s a 6-foot-7 front court prospect with a bit of versatility to his game offensively. He can step out and his a college three but he also has long arms and a nice touch around the rim. He needs to add some strength to his frame and could also use a bit more athleticism.

Franks also, as Josh Gershon of Scout.com put it, “gives off the appearance that he’s a kid who is still growing,” so there’s that as well.

Franks is the third commitment in the Class of 2015 for Wazzu, joining JuCo transfer and wing Derrien King and big man Jeff Pollard.
