Frank Haith lands first commitment as head coach at Tulsa

Frank Haith has landed his first commitment in the class of 2015 as three-star point guard Sterling Taplin pledged to the Golden Hurricane on Wednesday.

“Proud to announce that I will be attending the University of Tulsa next year,” Taplin wrote on his Instagram page. “Glad with my decision proud to be a Golden Hurricane!!!!!”

Taplin is a 6-foot-1 point guard that will be spending the 2014-2015 season at St. Thomas More Prep School in Connecticut. He’s a native of Western New York that played his AAU ball for Albany City Rocks. He’s the first commitment in an important class for Haith. The Golden Hurricane have a loaded junior class that will be departing after the 2015-2016 season.
