6-foot-5 guard JaQuan Lyle, a talented player with the ability to operate both on and off the basketball, was expected to give Oregon a much-needed boost on the perimeter this season. However Lyle was one of two Oregon signees (the other being forward Ray Kasongo) not admitted to the school, leaving the Ducks short on perimeter depth after an offseason that included the dismissal of three players expected to help in that area.

But while Kasongo ultimately decided to go the junior college route that won’t be the case for Lyle, who has moved on to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida according to N.D, Kendrick.

Lyle will spend this semester at IMG. After that, it remains to be seen what the next move for Lyle will be. Does he attempt to join a college program mid-year? According to a report from Adam Zagoria that is a possibility, with a mid-year move to Oregon or another school (if released from the NLI he signed to attend Oregon) among Lyle’s options.
