Texas A&M lands another five-star center, has loaded 2015 recruiting class

Arizona. Duke. Texas A&M?

When it comes to the best recruiting classes in 2015, that’s where we are at after Billy Kennedy landed yet another commitment from a star player in the state of Texas.

This time, it’s Elijah Thomas, a five-star low-post bruiser that plays his high school ball in Lancaster, Texas. He’ll join four-star Texans Tyler Davis, D.J. Hogg and Admon Gilder in A&M’s class.

“Thomas is a wide-bodied big man with good hands and a developing post skill set,” said Scott Phillips, NBCSports.com’s recruiting analyst. “He rebounds really well in his area and if he loses some weight it will really benefit his game.”

This comes of the heels of Kennedy earning commitments from Alex Robinson, Peyton Allen and Houston transfer Danuel House over the course of the last year, meaning that the future may look brighter for the Aggies on the hardwood than they do in the post-Johnny Football days on the gridiron.

I do have some concerns about this class, however, as I’m not convinced that Thomas and Davis will be able to play together at the college level. Both of them more-or-less play the same position, using size and strength to overpower defenders from eight-feet and in.
