If Fresno State is ever in a position this season where they need a last-second half-court shot, it may be a good idea to get Cezar Guerrero the basketball.

During the team’s annual “Red and White Hoops Night” on Tuesday the 6-foot-1 guard took over the half-court shot competition, knocking down five straight. Guerrero averaged 13.1 points and 3.5 assists per game in his first season at Fresno State, after having to sit out all of 2012-13 following his transfer from Oklahoma State. And his progression will be one key to watch for the Bulldogs, who have the talent to surprise some people in the Mountain West despite being picked to finish seventh in the league’s preseason poll.

Fresno State, which won 21 games and reached the championship series of the CBI, lost leading scorer Tyler Johnson but returns Guerrero, Marvelle Harris and Paul Watson. They’ll also have a healthy Braeden Anderson, who missed all of last season after being involved in a major car accident, and sophomore forward Karachi Edo returns as well.

Speaking of Edo, he held off freshman Isaiah Bailey to win the dunk contest. Below are some of the top dunks from Tuesday’s event.
