Jerry Tarkanian, the legendary former UNLV head coach, was back in the hospital on Wednesday night, according to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
It’s the third time that we know about in recent years that Tark the Shark has been admitted to the hospital. He had a pacemaker put in back in 2013 and, more recently, suffered a minor heart attack.
According to the paper, it was issues with breathing and low blood pressure that got him admitted this time.
“He was having trouble (breathing) when he woke up this morning, and he had been battling a cough, which he was on medication for,” Tark’s wife, Lois, told the paper. “At his age, you have to watch him carefully, and the doctors thought it was best for him to go to the hospital where the best care is available.”
