The 2015 edition of the CBE Classic will feature a local flavor as the Kansas City-based event returns for the 15th time. According to a report from Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com, the field will feature Kansas State, Missouri, North Carolina and Northwestern.

Missouri and Kansas State will surely draw a lot of fans to the event, as the former Big 12 adversaries will be joined by what should be a talented North Carolina team and a young and developing Northwestern program.

The matchups have yet to be determined, but the games are scheduled for Nov. 23 and 24, 2015.

By next season, Missouri and Northwestern could look like completely different groups since Kim Anderson and Chris Collins are still early in their tenures and North Carolina and Kansas State could still have plenty of returning star power.

If North Carolina point guard Marcus Paige and Kansas State guard Marcus Foster both return to school next season then this event could feature multiple All-American candidates.

The 2014 CBE Classic begins on Monday as Iowa State plays Alabama and Maryland battles Arizona State.
