Having already lost guards Cullen Neal and Arthur Edwards to injury, New Mexico will be without a third member of their rotation Sunday when they host USC.

Junior forward Jordan Goodman, expected to be a major contributor for the Lobos before the season began, will miss the game as he’s still being evaluated by team doctors for a concussion. According to the Albuquerque Journal, Goodman suffered the injury during the team’s practice on Tuesday and has not practiced since.

And with concussion protocols being what they are, there’s been no determination as to when Goodman would be ready to return to the lineup. This injury is a tough setback for a player who at one point last month wasn’t expected to be available until December due to nagging health issues, only to play ten minutes in the Lobos’ season-opening win over Idaho State.

Goodman has played in each of New Mexico’s first five games, averaging 6.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 13 minutes of action per contest. Without Goodman, New Mexico will be down to eight scholarship players against USC.
