Oklahoma struck again in the 2016 class on Tuesday afternoon as the Sooners added in-state three-star wing Kristian Doolittle. Doolittle’s verbal commitment was first reported by Scout.com‘s Evan Daniels.
The 6-foot-6 Doolittle hails from Edmond, Oklahoma and attends Memorial High School. The three-star wing, according to Rivals, played in the Nike EYBL this past spring and summer with Athlete’s First, averaging 8.6 points and a team-leading 7.4 rebounds per game in 20 contests. The encouraging thing about Doolittle is that his per-game averages increased after a productive outing at Peach Jam.
One thing Doolittle will have to improve is his perimeter jumper, as he only shot 14 percent from three-point territory in those 20 EYBL games.
The commitment of Doolittle gives Oklahoma a great start in the 2016 class as he joins guard Payton Pritchard, a four-star prospect from Oregon who committed a few weeks ago.
Oklahoma also has commitments in the 2015 class from guards Christian James and Rashard Odomes, as well as center Akolda Manyang.
