After missing Cincinnati’s game against VCU on Saturday due to an unruptured aneurysm, head coach Mick Cronin will miss another game on Tuesday as he continues to undergo treatment and additional testing.
According to a report from Bill Koch of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Bearcat associate head coach Larry Davis will coach Tuesday night’s Cincinnati game against Wagner as Cronin will undergo an angiogram on Monday. After the angiogram, doctors should have a better idea of how to treat Cronin.
Davis gave an update on how Cronin is doing to Koch:
“He’s doing good,” Davis said in the story. “He’s concerned about the team and about his own medical condition. Hopefully he’ll get some definite answers over the next day or so. The best-case scenario is that they treat it with medication and he’s out for the short term. The worst case is that they have to do some kind of procedure, which will be longer. Right now, we’re hoping for the best for him.”
Hopefully Cronin gets some good news before Christmas so that everyone can feel a little more at ease about what is going on.
