Game of the Night: No. 7 Arizona at Oregon, 10:30 p.m.

Arizona will get their first road test in conference play as they open up the Oregon leg of their Pac-12 season with a trip to Eugene. The last time the Wildcats played on the road, they lost to UNLV, and while the Rebels aren’t exactly setting the Mountain West on fire this season, they are much more talented than the Ducks. Joe Young and Dillon Brooks, however, are one of the better duos in the league.

Mid-Major Matchup of the Night: Georgia State at Louisiana, 8:00 p.m.

Both the Panthers and the Ragin’ Cajuns were on the lists of mid-major teams that could make a run in the NCAA tournament if things broke the right way, and a lot of that has to do with the star power on these two teams. R.J. Hunter, Ryan Harrow and Kevin Ware is a lot for any mid-major perimeter to deal with, but UL has a big man named Shawn Long that is as good as anyone at that level.

Five Things to Watch For

1. No. 25 Old Dominion at Marshall, 7:00 p.m.: The Monarchs will play their first game as a top 25 team this season as they head to Marshall for their Conference USA opener.

2. Michigan State at Iowa, 7:00 p.m.: The middle of the Big Ten is a mess, but both Michigan State and Iowa are good enough to finish in second place. The Spartans are coming off of an impressive win over Indiana, while Iowa has won their first to in league play.

3. Stanford at UCLA, 9:00 p.m.: Stanford has impressed early on in Pac-12 play. UCLA, well, hasn’t. Can the Bruins right their ship with a visit

4. San Francisco at No. 6 Gonzaga, 9:00 p.m.: Gonzaga puts their undefeated WCC record on the line against San Francisco.

5. George Mason at Richmond, 7:00 p.m.: Some Atlantic 10 action on NBCSN is a great way to kick off Thursday night, especially with some uninspiring tips at the 7:00 p.m. hour.
